Beat the heat with fragrances!

Summer is here! And what better way to stay fresh than spritzing your favorite scent.

Coco Chanel once said, “Wear perfume wherever you want to be kissed”. Good advice to follow but here are a few more unconventional spots to put on your perfume and keep you feeling invigorated all day long.

Hair: Perfume tends to latch on to fibers such as your hair. But alcohol can dry your tresses so avoid spraying directly. Instead, you can apply fragrance on your comb and brush your hair with it.

Inside of the elbow: The inside of your elbow is a pulse point where heat helps diffuse the fragrance. And since it is tucked away in the bends of our arms, the diffusion of the spirit is subtle and concealed.

Behind the top of your ears: As opposed to behind the lobes, behind the top of your ears is better because this spot is oilier. Perfume does not last long on dry skin so moisture helps extend the longevity of your fragrance. Also, spraying behind your ears makes hugging and kissing you more delightful!

Behind the knees: This spot is also a pulse point. And the laws of science suggest that heated air rises. So the fragrance, enhanced by the warmth of the skin behind your knees and the summer heat, will rise and keep you fresh throughout the day.

Belly button: You read that right! The belly button radiates a lot of heat which is great for dissipation of fragrance.

In addition, summer is better suited for fresh scents so aim for light citruses, florals and greens. They may not last long like musks and gourmand fragrances but applying them at the right spots will give you pleasurable fragrance wearing experiences!
